On 28 October, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced the People’s Construction programme, backed by approximately 6.5 trillion tenge (US$14.27 billion) from the National Fund through 2029. The plan includes 1.5 trillion tenge (US$3.29 billion) for social projects during 2026 and the first two months of 2027, covering healthcare, education, transport, housing and utilities.
