On 30 October 2026, the UK government approved National Grid’s Sea Link subsea electricity connection between Suffolk and Kent. The project will carry up to 2 GW of electricity and includes more than £1 million each for community funds in Kent and Suffolk.
The project creates opportunities for electrical contractors, environmental consultants and infrastructure suppliers. HPC can support market research, supplier identification and project intelligence.
