On 28 October 2026, the European Investment Bank and Croatia's development bank HBOR signed a €300 million financing agreement for Croatian micro, small and medium-sized businesses. At least 30% of the funding is intended for projects supporting climate objectives, energy efficiency and environmental protection. The agreement is the first tranche of a wider €500 million financing framework.
