The Ethiopian Investment Commission reported that Ethiopia attracted approximately US$1.432 billion in foreign direct investment during the first quarter of fiscal year 2026/27, a 49% increase year on year and 59% above the quarterly target. The reported results also included 179 new investment licences and 66 projects entering production.
Banks, investors and financial advisers can use these developments to assess investment trends, sector opportunities and financing demand. HPC can support financial dashboards, risk analysis and investment modelling; the US$1.432 billion figure represents aggregate FDI inflows, not a single investment contract or advisory fee.
