Algeria is strengthening its position in regional energy markets while exploring lower-emission technologies and new energy partnerships. The 14th NAPEC Energy and Hydrogen Exhibition and Conference opened in Oran on 5 October 2026 and ran through 7 October, bringing together energy-sector stakeholders to discuss investment, hydrogen and emissions reduction. The SoutH2 Corridor initiative also supports cooperation between Algeria and European and Mediterranean partners on green hydrogen.
