
Dr. Nasir Jalal earned his Ph.D. in 2012, as a Fulbright scholar, in the field of cell and molecular biology from the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Science of the Colorado State University, USA (Ranked #4 by QS ranking https://www.topuniversities.com/university-subject-rankings/veterinary-science) and worked on a radiation biology project (Cancer Gap 3) funded by NASA. To diversify his research experience in pharmaceutical sciences he was later awarded the coveted Charles D. Tenney post-doctoral fellowship in 2014, by the Tianjin University, China. He was promoted as assistant professor at the same University in 2017. He later received the Marie Curie external fellowship from University of Bologna, Italy in 2018. He has served as an adjunct professor at the Nanjing University of Science and Technology (2021-2023) and most recently served as Associate professor at one the Zhejiang’s Provincial research labs called Oujiang Lab, Wenzhou. Throughout his time spent in the Peoples Republic of China he has been awarded several honors such as the Wangyue Climbing leading talent (Tai’an 2020), Zhejiang foreign high level talent (Wenzhou, 2022), Grand canal entrepreneurship innovation plan (GWR [2022] No. 3, Gongshu district, Zhejiang, China). He is also a distinguished member of the Royal Society of Biologists, UK (since 2020), Member American association of cancer research (AACR) and Radiation research society (RRS). He has published in over 20 high level peer-reviewed journals, including the most highly anticipated “Nature publishing.” He has also filed several national and international patents and established three biotech start-ups. Besides being a Molecular Biologist (specialized Radiation biologist and toxicologist) a seasoned entrepreneur, he has also worked on several UN projects as a consultant.
